Btu Collective Bargaining Agreement

BOSTON, MA – The Boston Teachers Union (BTU) voted tonight to ratify a new three-year treaty for educators. Each of the BTU`s four bargaining units – teachers, paraprofits, substitutes and applied behavioural analysts – voted in favour of ratification. BTU and BPS have agreed to address the consequences of the city`s decision to reopen Boston Public Schools (District or BPS) for the 2020-2021 school year during the ongoing covid-19 pandemic on employment service conditions. The BTU approved an agreement providing for a full-time nurse in each school, staff for student mental health and increased support for the inclusion of BTU and BPS Special Schools agreed on expectations for distance education until the end of the school closure phase.
